En Abril, Maxime Martin (Paris) se puso en contacto con nosotros
después de visitar nuestra web, para proponernos participar en el proyecto en el que está trabajando.

http://www.les-editions-all.com es una mezcla entre un libro de arte y una revista popular que ofrece una selección de información privilegiada sobre arte contemporáneo, cultura,moda y otros aspectos de la vida... es bilingüe y se puede adquirir en la mayoría de las ciudades grandes de USA, Europa y Japón.

Después de sacar el primer número sobre "Humanidad?", el segundo va a tratar temas entorno al "Placer"con un nuevo proyecto de un portfolio de 8 ilustradores de todo el mundo. El concepto es dejar a cada ilustrador dibujar algo en una letra de la palabra PLEASURE.

Pues nos tocó la última E, tenemos un par de ejemplares sobre la mesa...y este es el resultado!!

LA siempre ha sonado demasiado bien, cuando nos escribieron para proponernos hacer la ilustración que acompañaría el artículo sobre Gustavo Dudamel nos encantó la idea!De nuevo música, que mejor compañera...cuando el Arte Final llegó al otro lado del charco gustó tanto que decidieron que sería doble página y hace una semana que entregamos nuestro segundo encargo por su parte LA PORTADA!!!Así que estamos entusiasmados de verdad con el trabajo y cada vez que pensamos en que es el segundo periódico de mayor tirada de los Estados Unidos se nos pone la piel de gallina...y con la buena gente con la que nos ha tocado esta vez ha sido un placer trabajar!!!Jonathan Brown y Hansen Smith...GRACIAS!

LA always sounds great, when Los Angeles Times wrote us to propose us the illustration for the article about Gustavo Dudamel we loved the idea!Once again Music, who else better as a collegue...when the final art arrived to the other side of the Ocean they really liked it and they decided to make a double page...a week ago we finished with our second work for them THE COVER!!!!We are so excited with this work and everytime we think it's the second biggest paper in the States it gives us the chills...and with the good people we've met it has been such a pleasure to work!!!!!Jonathan Brown and hansen Smith...THANK YOU!

Nosotros cumpliremos/ We'll accomplished

La revista Rolling Stone nos pidió una ilustración para el grupo Wilco, un aclamado grupo de rock estadounidense (Chicago, Illinois) conocido en sus inicios por sus raíces country y que en la actualidad se ha consolidado como una de las referencias básicas de la escena alternativa norteamericana.

El nombre de la banda viene de la abreviatura utilizada en el argot militar
"We´ll accomplished"....
algo así como "Nosotros cumpliremos"...llegó el momento de dedicarle parte de nuestro tiempo a la Música!

The Rolling Stone magazine ask us to make an illustration for Wico an alternative rock band based in Chicago, Illinois.
At the begining they were well known for their country roots and nowadays they are one of the alternative music references in northamerica.

Their name comes from the voice procedure term "wilco" meaning "will comply."...so it was the right moment to dedicate some of our time to the music!

Entrevistas

Internet ha hecho posible que nuestro trabajo se pueda compartir sin fronteras, ultimamente hemos hablado mucho sobre nuestros proyectos personales pero hace tiempo que pienso en dedicarle un espacio a todos aquellos que se han dirigido a nosotros para conocerme, para preguntarme sobre mi trabajo, para saber un poco más sobre mi vida como ilustrador, para orientar a aquellos que se inician en el mundo de la ilustración...

La verdad es impresionante pensar que hoy en día te pueden comprar un cuadro que se va a Australia, mientras dos grabados salen por correo a Londres o New York...o que alguien de Chile se pone en contacto contigo para darte la enhorabuena por tu trabajo. Por eso y porque por muy modernos que seamos no dejamos de asombrarnos, hemos hecho una pequeña selección de entrevistas, para compartirlas y por supuesto para agradeceros nuevamente a todos vuestro interés.

Ahí va un poco de lo nuestro en "el mundo"

Internet makes possible our work to be shared without borders, latelly we have spoken a lot about our personal projects but for a long time I've been thinking about dedicating a space to all those that have reached us to know me, to ask me about my work, my live as an illustrator, to give some tips to those who just start thinking or working as illustrators…

It's amazing to think that nowadays a picture can be sold out to a woman in Australia, while two engravings are on the way to London or New York....or a person just writes you from Chile just to say a kind Congratulations for your work.
For these reasons and because we are not modern enought to stop impressing ourselves with it, we have made a small selection of interviews, to share them and of course to thank you all again for your interest.

Nos llamó Pablo, uno de los Directores Creativos de Shakleton y nos propuso hacer una ilustración en este caso para un cliente totalmente nuevo para nosotros, el canal de suspense y acción Calle13...y cómo pordíamos decir que no a una nueva aventura!

El resulado...ninguna mujer, ninguna curva, ninguna postura sexy...pero qué puñetazo oye!!!

Experimentar es lo mejor...queremos más!!

Desde entonces nos nos podemos sacar los comics de la cabeza....nunca digas nunca jamás.

Pablo one of Shakleton's Creative Directors called us for an illustration, in this case the client was totally new for us...Calle13 a thriller and action TV channel… and how could we say no to a new adventure!

The result…no woman, no curve, no sexy position… but what a nice punch!

Experimenting is the best…we want more!

Since then we can't take out comics of our heads….never say never.

La Exposición fue definitivamente un punto y aparte en mi carrera,
hace exactamente dos meses que no conseguía sentarme a contaros 

como sigue evolucionando esta aventura...
Recogemos mucho más de lo que sembramos...y volvemos a sembrar!

No hemos parado y por eso a todos los que habéis escrito durante este tiempo, 

a los que he tardado tanto en contestar...

Os agradezco muchísimo vuestro apoyo y os voy adelantando,

Gente de diferentes partes del mundo, que nos hacen borrar fronteras y plantearnos nuevos retos...

The Exhibition was definitively a new paragraph in this story, exactly two months went by 

since last time I was able to seat down and write you a bit about how this adventure continues evolving… 

We gather much more than we seeded… and we seed again! 

We haven't stopped since then, and that's the reason why I haven't written you during this time...

it has taken me so long to answer you…

I'm really thankful for your support, and I am advancing to you that little by little

we are updating my last work-projects, personal collaborations, works… AND MUCH MORE! 

We are working… among others things… in giving a push to the online section

 (web, blog, gallery and new proposals!)We have more orders through the Web! 

People from different parts from the world, that makes us erase borders and raise new challenges… 

No, no...we haven´t been learning Chinese, shortly you will be able to see changes that we thougth 

are going to make a lot easier our contact! 

In each work presentation, whenever we explained what we do…with friends, professional, family… there were always nice people sharing a pile of ideas to contribute our project, and we always consider them to improve… so if you have one of those…tell us!if you keep it for you, it won´t be useful!

 The spring arrives to Madrid, the sun shines and we have the TAILWIND!

Ya termino la exposición, 5 meses de trabajo maratoniano, agobios, enviar invitaciones, mailings, montar, desmontar... y 5 meses de mucho entusiasmo, mucha pasión y agradecimiento a todos los que me visitasteis.

Woody NEO2

This is my first collaboration with Neo2, that just hit the street, and you can see in my web www.gabrielmoreno.com
The idea was to show the different sides of Woody Allen, (with whom I share my admiration for the Asian world), and also show the female world that is in his head when he writes or directs. So, I prepared a black base which I later scanned and retouched on the computer. To this base I added faces of the different female characters in Allen's universe. For the finishing touches, I used different textures with watercolors and acrilic paint, to make it more homogeneous.
All in all, I had a great time working on this project. Thanks Ruben and Tere!

Desde el principio la idea era mostrar las diferentes caras de Woody Allen, (con quién comparto mi admiración por lo asiático), y por otro lado todo el mundo femenino que tiene en su mente a la hora de escribir y dirigir. Así que preparé una base negra que, después de escanear, retoqué en el ordenador. A esta base le añadí rostros de los diferentes personajes del universo femenino de Allen, y para finalizar, utilicé distintas texturas de acuarela y acrílico, para que le diese homogeniedad.
Resumiendo...me lo he pasado estupendamente con este proyecto, así que, ¡Gracias, Ruben y Tere!

Ready, Set...GO! (¡Empezemos!)

There is nothing more exciting than exhibiting your real personal work. Creating something that comes from you without going through the filter of a client, a product etc...is every illustrators dream!
I'm very lucky to have started working on the first piece of a series for the gallery Fast Cool next January 15th.
Non of this would make any sense if I didn't think you would come to see it, so I expect you all to be there!

No hay nada mas emocionante que exponer tu verdadero trabajo personal. Crear algo que realmente salga de ti, sin pasar por el filtro de un cliente, producto etc.. es el sueño de cualquier ilustrador
Tengo la enorme suerte de haber empezado a realizar el primer cuadro de una serie de obras para la galeria Fast Cool el póximo 15 de enero. Todo esto no tiene sentido sin pensar que vosotros vais a venir a verlo, ¡así que, espero veros allí!

One has to be grateful in life, so to give thanks for all the opportunities I've been given and the time people have dedicated on helping me this last year, I gave out this engraving as a small token of my appreciation. It was hard work but made with love, many hours drawing lines on the plate, with a couple of acid burns and black nails from the ink...but it was worth it, just to thank you all the way you deserve.

En la vida uno tiene que ser agradecido. Así que para dar las gracias por las oportunidades que he tenido y el tiempo que me habéis dedicado, hice un grabado como regalo para toda la gente que tanto me ha ayudado este último año. Ha sido un trabajo hecho con mucho, mucho cariño, muchas horas de hacer rayitas en la plancha, un par de quemaduras en el acido, uñas llenas de tinta.......pero creo que mereció la pena daros las gracias como os mereceis.

Working with Marga (and also with Gonzalo in this ocasion) is always a pleasure. This illustration is the continuation of a series for Repsol. In this one, I mix photography with an illustration made with pencil, Manley crayons and a bit of water.

Fiesta Marlboro

After spending many days in a room with the shades down, taking 9,900 images, I achieved as a result this video that was viewed during the Marlboro parties. You can see the video in my web. I'm still resentful to Javi, Nacho, Miriam and Carolina for turning me into a monk for a week and a half, but it was worth working with La Despensa, one of the most creative agencies in Spain.

Después muchos días encerrado en un cuarto con las persianas cerradas, tomando 9,900 imágenes, conseguí como resultado este video que se proyectó en las fiestas de Marlboro y que podéis ver en mi web. Aun le guardo rencor a Javi, Nacho, Miriam y Carolina, por convertirme en un monje durante semana y media. Pero valió la pena trabajar con La Despensa, una de las agencias mas creativas de España.
